The VHSL voted on July 27, 2020, to move forward with Model 3 in its re-opening of sports and activities for the 2020-21 school year.  Model 3 delays all VHSL sports and activities until December 14 and adopts the Condensed Interscholastic Plan.  This model leaves all sports in the season where they are currently aligned.

25-Spectator Limit

The restriction limiting spectators to 25 does not include the following:  players, coaches, officials, school event staff and school administration critical to the operations of the contests, media, law enforcement, and medical services. Outdoor events are limited to two (2) guests per participant (athlete).

However, cheerleaders, bands, and other student support groups are considered spectators. These student groups are counted in the limit of 25 spectators allowed at events.
